Real stories that inspire real change
Nature Connection Brought Me Back to Life
Since I remember being me, following what feels right in my heart has always been my guiding light. I am passionate about everything I do and bring enthusiasm as a motor for getting things done and I have strong energy. I can get a lot of things done. For a long time I carried a beviour pattern that told me that I was not enough, that I had to do more in order to be loved. It was like emptying myself to fill up an emptiness inside that, no matter how hard I tried, it was never enough. I feel I am not alone when I consider that in one way or another, at some point in our lives we are faced with thinking “there must be more to life than this?” I have a strong sense that many of you reading this might carry this to? Consciously or unconsciously.
In my case, it was unconscious until it was not. It revealed itself in a painful and scary way. I suffered a severe burnout in 2017 that left me pretty much helpless and needing to stop everything I was doing to reconsider what I really wanted to do with my life. My capacity to process thoughts, to focus, and to follow a simple conversation was gone. My body was speaking loudly with an acute cervical spine herniated disc that had me in line for surgery. I was moody, depressed and my nervous system was shot.
Something needed to change and it was time to put into practice all the tools that I had been gathering along the way, for the previous 15 years. Tools I had dipped my toes in but not really taken the deep plunge. Forest therapy, nature connection practices, embodiment and somatics, deep listening and clean eating slowly and gently brought me back to life. The forest has been my greatest healer and it gave me back a true sense of belonging to myself and to the earth. It has opened my heart to life. The well started to feel full.
Renature was born from my longing to share these healing practices with other people who might be going through the same situation as I went through. I want to share with the world the possibility of having a more meaningful life.
A more spacious, conscious and connected way of being that feels real and alive. For people and for our home, the Earth and all living beings in it.
I am profoundly grateful to all my teachers who guide me on this journey.
I am eternally grateful to all the forests at home and around the world that have had the grace to hold and heal me.
I am deeply grateful to all my fellow trainers, facilitators, students and participants for all the teachings I receive from you every day.
